Had a short trip last weekend with daughter and granddaughter from Indianapolis. They were going to visit son, daughter in law and grandson for a weekend in South Bend. It was a beautiful weekend with gorgeous weather. The trees were turning color. Saw vibrant orange, burnt red, brown of all shades mixed together.
Went to visit an old friend with another daughter and had a great visit. Daughter and husband live on what we call the farm. She took a basket of her homemade breads and jelly to our old friend, who is also her godmother. So thoughtful of her and so appreciated.
Got lots of rest just watching out the picture window at their farm. Watching all the birds. Hoping I might see some deer, but no such luck.
Weekend over very fast. Other daughter and granddaughter picked me up to ride back to Indianapolis. They had a wonderful time at the Zoo. You know traditions, TRADITIONS have to be made that you can share as your grandchildren or niece or nephew grow. Such fun!
Listened to a book while driving back to Indy. Made time go faster.
Thank you one and all for a nice weekend, short but sweet. For feeding me, and letting me sleep at your farm.
Be sure and thank God for a good day.
