Father’s Day was Busy, our daughter (Cindy and son- in- law David )came over with a surprise for my husband Bill. He had been talking about all the flowers he wanted for our back yard. Knowing exactly where he wanted everything planted and what color the flowers should be. However, he would not have been able to plant them. We would have had to carry him in the house to recuperate.
Long story short. Cindy got all the flowers planted and watered before we went to the Father’s Day party. That was after David went for a new hose, because the old one leaked so badly, we had to get another one. We managed to get to the party almost on time.
Our son Bill and wife Ruth and family graciously hosted the party. The weather was fantastic and we were able to spend time outside. Matthew did grilling, even though he really did not want to, but it was Father’s Day. We had such a nice time. We even sang Happy Birthday to our grandson, Will, whose birthday is tomorrow. Couldn’t take the cake outdoors, the wind was blowing them out. Happy Birthday Will.
Our granddaughter Sarah was there with two of our great grandchildren Elena and Luka. Maria is in Colorado. Such beautiful little ones. Sarah’s husband Adrain spent the day with his father, as it should be.
Family helped get us on our way home Granddaughter Kacey and daughter Kathy. Thank you. Forgot to mention the beautiful hummingbird feeder they gave my husband for Father’s Day. Now we have to wait for the hummingbirds.
So glad we could have such a wonderful day, to recognize those fathers who were able to attend. Missed those of you who could not attend.
Happy Father’s Day again to all deserving Dads.
