Basketball! More Basketball

Personally I am just about to suffer basketball burnout but then I watch how much enjoyment my husband gets watching basketball, relent a little more. It is truly a wonderful thing to see how hard so many young men and women have worked to gain confidence, skill and the ability to take direction from people in charge without going off on an tangent.

It makes you think of other sports, games, adventures, that young people find challenging without getting into trouble. I, we applaud you all. Having a goal and reaching is really a challenge and lots of very hard work. Rejecting all things outside that arena at this time in your life.

Many people go all their lives without setting goals. That is so unfortunate because they can be anything you want them to. You could have a goal to read a book a month, lose 10 lbs and let your goal be to keep that weight off by eating healthy or even by setting up a chart that others can learn from you. Maybe you want to just get good grades, so you decide to watch less television, or play less video games. You could be setting a role model for someone either in your family, or in your classroom to follow.

Goals are hard to achieve because the require work, and then some more work. Many times no one even knows you have set a goal for yourself, but you do and that is what counts.

It is like blogging learning all the terminology and just when you think you have it down pat you find out there is so much more to learn.

Think of a goal as a step on a step ladder. You have to take one step at a time. Make your goals attainable and work on them one step and then another step.
