For years and years we celebrated Christmas eve and Sarah’s birthday. Now we have two birthdays on Christmas Eve. Nicholas also has a birthday on Christmas Eve and everything is different as our families have grown and it is not possible to always get together. We still try to stay in touch in some shape or manner.
For my husband and I celebrating Christmas has always been to go Mass visit the manger and look at the new baby Jesus with grandchildren present. Then spending the day opening gifts and playing games. Some years we were able to go sledding. Of course most of that has changed as families have gone on to plan their own traditions.
Whatever your traditions are enjoy, love one another, have fun, pray together for those not so fortunate.
