What about the holidays?

Did you ever wake up thinking, oh boy I wish I could sleep later, of course, that has happened to all of us. Then your brain reminds you that you have this day all planned out, so move.

Thinking a lot about my blog and focusing on lifestyle. Broad area I know but it seems to suit me and I can include family, health, values, good old common sense, and maybe a big laugh once in awhile.

Everyday now we see tons and tons of wonderful ideas for meeting the holidays head on! Things such as how to buy, when to buy, where to get the best deal. How to entertain without spending lots of money, learn how to decorate without going overboard, learn how to be a good parent without breaking the bank when spending at Christmas, how to adjust when you do not have a lot of money for Christmas.

Putting food on the table would be my first priority, if I had little ones. It doesn’t have to be an elaborate meal. Be creative and think of something that they really like and spruce it up for the holidays. You can always go to thrift stores, second hand stores, discount stores to find gifts, You may want to get creative and make something.

Teenagers need to know if things are tight and accept what you can afford with good grace. The thing is if they don’t have a job and should, maybe this would be a good season for them to test the waters. It can not always be about the best technology. In these times every family needs to pull together.

Life is like a trampoline, it has it’s ups and downs, especially during the holidays. Remember not to forget those who have suffered so much with the weather and are left without anything.
