Have you ever been invited to a dinner party or gone to a card game, or a new job, a new church and no one was even friendly to you. You think to yourself, maybe its me and I am just not good at socializing.
Personally I have found that many people have trouble socializing. It is easier to talk to those you already know and we all at times forget about those that are new and looking for a place to be welcomed.
Next chance you have try to socialize with someone you have not met before, just smile, stick out your hand and say: Hi, my name is Barb and I don’t believe we have met before.
How well does your office, club, social event, church do at welcoming patients, new members at your church, new people trying to socialize at an event. Do you need someone to coordinate hospitality efforts? Do you need someone to do an evaluation of how hospitality begins and ends at whatever your arena is. If something you try falls flat on it’s face, try again or put a new spin on that event and try again later.
