We had a wonderful Thanksgiving day. Dinner was delicious and everything was done to perfection. Our daughter, Cindy cooked a turkey, frozen. This was the second time she has done this and it was so good. We also had a yummy ham that my nephew John had given us. Thank you to all who made our dinner so good.
Later in the day more family came over. Our son and some of his family. Everyone pitched in and got the Christmas tree out of storage and decorations out and started decorating a bit. They brought with them a baby kitten that Ben our grandson had gotten from a client. He was so tiny and cute, but no thank you, no kitten. We have had dogs before and pets are a job. They are loveable but you have a responsibility to care and love when you have them. Pets also are an expense, as you have to feed them and be sure they get their shots etc.
On Friday, Kathy and family came over and we had some leftovers and Kacey, Colin and Cassie finished up the decorating for me. Lost a layer of lights, so that held them up for awhile, but everything finally came together.
A big big thank you to everyone who helped in any way. So appreciated.
The weather here has been beautiful. Not too cold and the sun shining. Personally I really like snow for Thanksgiving. Where I grew up in Iowa we had snow on Thanksgiving and it was a sign that Christmas was definitely on its way and sledding was an option.
