Our journey to South Bend, Indiana, home of Notre Dame, for a wonderful luncheon to celebrate with everyone the coming birth of Shamus. He will be our 5th great grand child. Very much a family atmosphere with lots of Dads and young ones present.
The weather was deceiving, one minute it was cold but nice, the next minute it was blowing a little snow, then it was like a blizzard with snow really coming down heavy. When we arrived in South Bend it was still snowing. Snowed most of the shower, then it disappeared.
The shower was held at a venue known as the Blue Heron and everything geared toward being elegant casual. The buffet was a breakfast, lunch combination. Good, good and good.
Our new parents to be, Collin and Cassie were the ultimate in trying to be good in welcoming everyone. Also very accommodating about taking pictures.
We left a little bit before the show was over as we did not know what it would be like going back to Indy. Low and behold, no snow. Nothing! You would not have known that snow had fallen where we were.
Thank you to everyone who helped in anyway to bring this lovely event together. We are excited about our new great grand. Tell everyone we just want a nice healthy baby. Feel really blessed that we are still here to celebrate with everyone.
Thanks for reading
Barb
