Had a wonderful day on Christmas! Got to visit with several family members and everyone was in a good mood. That always means so much.
Our Christmas meal*** The ham was just right. The scalloped potatoes were ok. I made them and did not follow the cooking directions as written. The green bean casserole, as usual, was wonderful, and the cooked carrots were delightful. They had a great flavor. Don’t know what was in them, but will need to get the recipe. Our salad was just right. No one even missed the dinner rolls. For dessert, we had a wonderful apple pie and a rich pecan pie, both with ice cream. If that was your preference.
Lots of good conversation , had fun playing a game called pig. Christmas coming in the middle of the week made us forget that some people had to work the next day. They just needed to go home, put on their jammies, and rest. This is preparation for work the next day.
