My beginning budget is geared to people who are really interested in living on a budge. It is very simplistic and one you can copy and play around with until you get it exactly the way you want it. . Those of you who have been budgeting for years will probably yawn when reading this, but maybe not.

Budget defined – a plan (a plan, not a written in blood for coordinating income and expenses. Is your family ready to come on board with this? Their support is wanted, needed and teenagers must be onboard.

To start write down your bring home pay for a month and then write down your expenses. This will overwhelm you at first. Try to be as thorough as possible. Remember we are just starting this. We are working on a budget at our house again and believe me it takes time.

Go slowly and decide after you all look at things what you want to tackle first. Be sensible as you want to make progress, little by little It reminds me of losing weight. Do one small thing the first month and by that time you will see what changes you need to make on your beginning budget sheet .

When listing priorities never leave out rent or mortgage, utilities and food. People who do this end in deep do! do! People tend not to pay the must haves first and then they are really floundering.

More information coming on budgeting and becoming frugal. It is an ongoing process and takes patience and practice.

Again always mention my Young Living essential oils. Learning how to help others by continuing to educate myself.

Budget and actually becoming a more frugal person.

Please read Blog -Budget key to learning to live frugally first.

The two words in my title, go hand and hand according to my way of thinking. You have to remember that in both situations you need to avoid going overboard. So lets take a further look at budget and learning how to be frugal.

Practice budget- add to and delete if necessary.
Selections from barb resource library

When you are ready to do an intense budget you will want to add to the simple budget above. The password to the selectionsfrombarb resouce library is HELEN.

Let’s take the word FRUGAL AND SEE WHAT WE CAN COME UP WITH. The one thing I thought as I was doing my research was that I would hate chicken if I followed some of the menus. I love chicken, but enough is enough. My opinion only, each person has to decide what is best for their family.

F= food and learning to be flexible. You don’t want a total rebellion in your family?

R=realistic. It will take time to learn this frugal thing.

U=useful. Get your family involved. Encourage them to plan menu’s that will help in maintaining or lowering your food budget. Explain you can not impulse shop, so menu planning has to be done.

G=gardener. Is it time to plan a garden? 2021 is that the year for you to begin anew.

A= animals! Don’t forget your animals when planning your budget.

L=learn . What an opportunity to learn. Why eating out can be very expensive. Menu planning. How to shop with a list and buy only what is on the list. Where to look for the best buys. Become inventive! Become a shining example to others.

Good luck on beginning. Don’t think failure, not in your vocabulary. Think about your future and how you would like to live. Plan, Plan and then keep learning.

Always have to mention my young living essential oils. They have been an asset to our lives.

Hope you are planning and preparing for Christmas, especially if COVID is still hanging around.

Thursday, August 20th is a gorgeous day, with sun shining and it not too hot. A day for reflection on what is good and what we can be thankful for. So I am going to look for things that could be put into gift baskets. Gifts not only for Christmas, but birthdays, holidays, a special thank you for someone who has gone above and beyond for you and your family, a special basket for a new baby or for someone one who needs a helping hand.

Gift basket ideas for baby!

Add more to the basket. Think of toys that are safe for babies. What about safety locks for cabinets? Put a nice baby blanket in the bottom of the basket and put a big bow on top. This basket is only for the baby so we have not addressed Mom & Dad and their needs.

Blogging? Starting to blog? Keep it simple while you learn.

Update from October 2019

This blog contains affiliated links. As an Amazon Associate, I earn from qualifying purchases. If you click on one of my affiliate links and make a purchase, I will receive a commission at no extra cost to you.

The above applies to any affiliate, I might have.

Writing a #blog that will capture the# imagination of everyone is an# eye opener assignment. You try to remember the important things that awe- inspiring bloggers have written about and all of a sudden your mind is blank.

You read again the important things you have bought, that are supposed to help you, but you feel like such a dunce, when you say to yourself, let me read that again. What does that mean??

Your one thought is, oh, that’s alright, I’ll wing it, no one is going to read my blog. No! No! Bad vibes, when we all need to be # positive and learn by our mistakes. Darn, you say, thought I had gotten by all that and the upward turn was here. You, are right it is just around those big curves in the road. Persevere! When someone begins to follow you it is so #exciting. Then you want to work even harder so they will keep following you.

Relax, Relax, Enjoy learning!

The following is a list of ideas and thoughts that might help you on this new journey.

  • Keep learning. Don’t think you are going to make lots and lots of money. This is like anything else you really want. Practice, practice and practice some more.
  • Learn to tell a story#simple#funny#relatable.
  • Spelling and grammar, so important. Use spell check, check your grammar. Be professional, who wants to follow someone who uses trashy words.
  • .Niche! #Niche. Think about a niche. My problem is I know a little bit about alot of things. For yourself think about #hobbies, #health#writing#education. What about a broader theme such as #lifestyle to include things like #home#crafts#parenting#meals#entertaining. You get the idea. I really do think it is so awesome if someone is artistic. That is a real struggle for me
  • Don’t confuse people, make sure when blogging about art, that is what your blog is about. What is your idea? What can you do for your reader? Give helpful ideas and always try to come back with more. You want to tweak the imaginations of your readers, followers and friends.
  • Keywords, long tailed keywords and search engine optimization (SEO) will come along as your grow. Right now keep your blog #concise, #eye opening#and #entertaining.

The fall season is almost upon us and then we have Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. Lots to blog about. Lots of places to learn. Here on my blog one of the things I will be trying to focus some on budgeting, frugal living and what we can learn, all of us. Of course still love my oils and am using them during the day and at night.

Hope you will begin to follow my blog. Lots of good things coming up. I am just a tad slow about getting a regular routine. Resource library opening soon. I hope! So excited about that. #blog#imagination#eye-opener#simple#concise#entertaining#learning.
